Who are We?
The Egyptian Society of Metabolic Syndrome (ESMA) is a professional organization that aims to promote research, education and awareness on metabolic syndrome and its related disorders. Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions that increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other complications. The ESMA was founded by Prof. Ihab Salem, who serves as the president of the society, and Prof. Ahmed Tageldien, who is the vice-president.
